September 29, 2026: The Shopping API is now available for catalog search, checkout, and order lookup
View as MarkdownYou can now search, buy, and read orders for GoDaddy products programmatically. The Shopping API follows the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP), so you can let your apps and AI agents buy GoDaddy products on your GoDaddy account.
The catalog includes Web Hosting (Economy, Deluxe, and Ultimate) and Professional Email (Pro Light, Pro Plus, Premium, and Ultra). We plan to add more products.
What changed
New endpoints under /v1/shopping:
POST /v1/shopping/catalog/search— search products.POST /v1/shopping/catalog/lookup— look up products by identifier.POST /v1/shopping/catalog/product— get the details of one product.POST /v1/shopping/checkout-sessions— create a checkout session.GET /v1/shopping/checkout-sessions/{id}— read a session.PUT /v1/shopping/checkout-sessions/{id}— update a session.POST /v1/shopping/checkout-sessions/{id}/complete— place the order.GET /v1/shopping/orders/{id}— read an order.
All endpoints need a Personal Access Token (PAT) with the scope for the resource: shopping.catalog:read, shopping.checkout:execute, or shopping.order:read.
The gddy CLI now includes the gddy shopping catalog, gddy shopping checkout, and gddy shopping order commands by default, without a beta flag. Run gddy guide shopping for a step-by-step purchase flow. The gddy agent skill tells AI agents to show the final total and each required agreement, and to get the user's explicit approval before checkout.
Who is affected
Available to developers with a GoDaddy account and API access or the gddy CLI. Reseller (private label) accounts are not supported. No existing integrations are affected; these endpoints and commands are additive, and no action is required.
